If there is love, language difference can be neglected.
What's your opinion about this guys?

'Does language barriers affect love ?' - This sentence it's self uses the word 'barrier', barrier meaning, in English,
'a circumstance or obstacle that keeps people or things apart or prevents communication or progress' for example 'a language barrier'.

Dependant of what you define as 'love' will depend on the next part. Love - appearance, attraction to appearance, grateful for someone's attention / affection. However in my opinion this forms only 'part' of a loving relationship, communication is important in loving relationships. The best way to communicate is in the language of each others 'mother tongue' language. 'mother tongue' is defined as the first language a person learns after birth.

If a child did not learn the same first language as its mother, would that child develop a close loving relationship with its mother in the future compared to a child who did learn the same language as its mother ?

In my opinion 'does language barriers affect love' - yes, I think it does have a negative effect on a loving relationship.

finally, a few questions to the original poster 'OP'

1. What does the word 'love' mean to you ?

2. What does 'love' or a 'loving relationship' between two people involve?, furthermore can this involvement be successful given a language barrier, in your view ?

3. Is communication an important aspect in your own life, and a way you develop connections with people ?

kind regards

On a lighter note,

Sometimes not understanding each other can actually help. One person might be angry and talking a lot, while the other just smiles and nods without knowing what’s being said. It can stop the fight right there! Maybe the trick to fewer fights is just pretending not to understand like....“Oh, I didn’t get that, but it’s okay, let’s move on!”😁😅

While language barriers can certainly present challenges in any relationship, I don't think they necessarily affect the depth or sincerity of love. Love is a universal language that can transcend linguistic and cultural differences.

When two people from different linguistic backgrounds fall in love, they often find ways to communicate and connect with each other, even if they don't share a common language. They may use gestures, body language, and facial expressions to convey their emotions and intentions. They may also learn each other's languages, which can actually bring them closer together and deepen their understanding of each other's cultures.

In fact, many couples in international or intercultural relationships report that the language barrier actually strengthens their bond, as they have to rely on non-verbal communication and creative problem-solving to navigate everyday challenges.

That being said, language barriers can still pose significant challenges, especially in the early stages of a relationship. Miscommunication, misunderstandings, and frustration can arise when partners struggle to express themselves or understand each other.

However, with patience, effort, and a willingness to learn from each other, couples can overcome these challenges and build a strong, loving relationship that transcends language barriers.

I understand the humor in this, but I PERSONALLY feel the opposite.. For me, communication is essential in a relationship.. I want to be understood by my partner, just as I want to understand them. My words matter to me, and I deeply value meaningful conversations..

I also appreciate words of affirmation, they uplift me emotionally.. Since I am comfortable with English and Tamil, I prefer these to be the primary languages of communication with my partner.. If my partner doesn’t know either, I would likely feel disconnected and emotionally low..

That said, if two people truly love each other but don’t share a common language, I believe they should make the effort to learn each other’s language.. Understanding each other, both in words and emotions, is what strengthens a relationship..
