These terms apply to chat2friends.com, our chat rooms, our forum and our blog. By using any part of the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
Who may use Chat2Friends
- You must be 18 or older to enter any chat room. See our Child Safety Standards.
- You may use the chat rooms as a guest, without registering. Registering is optional and unlocks account-level features such as badges and membership levels.
- You are responsible for anything done through your account or nickname.
Acceptable use
Our Community Guidelines set out what is and is not acceptable in the rooms, and form part of these terms. In short: no harassment, no illegal or sexual content, no spamming or advertising, and no impersonation.
Moderation and termination
- Moderators may remove content, mute, suspend or permanently ban any account or guest that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines.
- Bans may be applied without prior warning where the breach is serious, and any points, badges or membership levels attached to the account may be revoked at the same time.
- We may withdraw or change parts of the service at any time.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting in a room, on the forum or on the blog you give us permission to display, store and distribute that content as part of running the service. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
Third-party services
The chat client itself, the forum software and the blog are provided through third-party software, and advertising is served by third parties. Their availability is not something we fully control.
No warranty, and limits on liability
- The service is provided as-is and as-available. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular room will be busy at a given time.
- We are not responsible for what other users say or do, on or off the service. Read the Safety Tips before sharing anything personal with someone you met in a room.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated version.
